Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
TivTap ("TivTap", "we", "us") operates tivtap.com, a service that lets you create and share a digital business card. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address and password (or Google account) when you sign up.
- Card content: the name, title, company, phone, email, photo, logo, bio, links, payment handles and review links you put on your card. Anything on your card is public by design — that is the point of a business card.
- Contacts you collect: names, emails, phone numbers and notes from people who share their details with you, and from paper cards you scan.
Information collected automatically
- Card activity: when someone views a card, saves a contact or taps a button, we record that event so the card owner can see their insights. We do not identify individual visitors.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) used to keep the service secure and running.
How we use information
- To provide the service: host your card, deliver your share links and QR codes, and save contacts to your account.
- To send account emails (confirmation, password reset) from our notify.tivtap.com address.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the product.
- When you scan a paper card, the photo is processed by an AI model solely to extract the contact details for you. The photo is not kept after processing.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information or your contacts.
- We do not show advertising or use advertising trackers.
- We do not email the contacts you collect — they are yours alone.
Sharing
Your card page is public to anyone who has its link or scans its QR code. Beyond that, we share data only with the service providers that run TivTap (cloud hosting, email delivery, AI processing) under contracts that require them to protect it, and when required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete anything on your card at any time from the editor.
- Delete individual contacts, or export them to CSV, from your Contacts section.
- Request a copy or deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing privacy@tivtap.com. Deleting your account removes your card, contacts and insights.
Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA, or the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may have additional rights: to access, correct, port or erase your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at privacy@tivtap.com to exercise any of them. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Data retention and security
We keep your data while your account is active. We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect it, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
TivTap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
